This car has been SOLD... Bentley Continental R, 1996, LHD. Finished in Wildberry with an Oatmeal leather interior with Wildberry piping and Wildberry carpeting. The interior is very nice with impeccable woodwork. The chromework is in very good condition. Imported from Belgium to the Netherlands in 2018.
When Bentley started investigating during the mid-eighties whether there was a need for a full sized Bentley coupe, reactions had been so enthusiastic that within five years the company had developed a completely new coupe and this was unveiled to the public as the Bentley Continental R at the Geneva Motor Show in March, 1991.
The Continental R was designed on the 4 door (Spirit / Turbo R) platform with a totally new aerodynamically shaped 2 + 2 coupe body and new style interior. The first time since the 1950's that a Bentley did not share the body with Rolls-Royce. The factory had gone to a previously unheard amount of expenses in market research and development.
The well-proven turbocharged engine from the Bentley Turbo R had been chosen to power this new coupe.
This particular Continental R is a well maintained and headturning Bentley to see and drive. Airconditioning, cruise control, leather headliner, 17 inch wheels, auto-ride control, liquid turbo cooling,385 bhp.
