Unique left hand drive barnfind! Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III MPW drophead coupé Chinese eye, 1964, LHD. Finished in Burgundy Red with a Black leather interior. Absolute original hard-to-find Left Hand Drive Rolls Royce Chinese eye.
Only 48 LHD ever build! A very rare and unique car that is in original condition but absolutely needs restoration.
It runs and drives smoothly. We have just finished a carburetor overhaul and reconditioned the ignition and brakes. The complete interior upholstery needs to be redone. The wood needs to be relacquered. The convertible hood, the sills and lower parts of the rear fenders need to be replaced. The chassis is, as far as we can see, in good condition. The doors, trunk, bonnets and front fenders are in good condition as well. (These are made of aluminium.) The car looks very complete with all the chrome work and other parts.
There are only 2 for sale in the world, one for $400.000 and another for 350.000 euro. This particular one is now for sale for only € 199.500 in its current condition. One might think that restoring a rare car like this Chinese eye is more expensive than restoring a standard 4-door Silver Cloud. That is actually not the case. The restoration costs are estimated around € 100.000,- excluding VAT of which half of the value is technique. Ask us for all possibilities.
