Bentley Azure 1997 Peacock Blue

This car has been SOLD... Bentley Azure, 1997. LHD. Finished in stunning Peacock Blue with Sandstone leather interior, Navy Blue convertible hood. Only 66952 km. Very nice woodwork and chrome. Partly wooden, partly leather steering wheel. This car runs and drives like new.

The single Garret turbocharged engine (385BHP and 750Nm at just 2,000rpm!) is a joy to start. Combined with the very smooth transmission, it makes driving this car a true pleasure. The perfectly lined body was designed by Italian Sergio Pininfarina and built by Mulliner & Park Ward. The Azure shares its platform with the Continental R, but has an extensive reinforcement of the chassis to make sure a design disrupting roll-bar was not needed. The thick, powered convertible soft top was totally produced at Pininfarina in Italy and mounted on the car at the Bentley Crewe factory.

The bigger and sportier Azure (this grand tourer can easily accommodate 4 adults!) succeeded the Bentley Continental DHC which was produced from 1984 till 1995 and was subsequently succeeded in 2006 by the second generation Azure, this time based on the Bentley Arnage platform.

This particular Azure has been first delivered to mr. Egidius Janssen who registered the car in Belgium.  

The Azure is fitted with all the luxury one could expect in 1997, like electrically adjustable and heated memory seats, power windows, power hood, air conditioning, electrically adjustable steering column, cruise control and much more.

Just 1311 of the first generation were produced between 1995 and 2003, of which 224 in special editions such as the Le Mans edition.
