Bentley Turbo R, 1987, Lefthand drive, 71400 mls (readout). Finished in Blue with a red leather interior, white pipings on the seats and red carpeting. The Bentley Turbo R is a high-performance sedan of which production started in 1985 with a Solex carburetter fitted. In 1987 production started with the Bosch Motronic fuel injection which added more torque, as is on this particular Turbo R. As the "R" stood for "roadholding" a retuned suspension and wider tires on alloy wheels, together with a higher rear axle ratio made sure the added torque could be released on the road. 1987 also marked the year that the new slimmer seats were introduced to give a more sporty feel to the car and ABS braking system to ensure safe braking in all conditions. Altogether this made the buyingprice rise above that of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit. Being equipped with Olive Ash wood, Airconditioning, Cruise control, Electric operated seats and windows (all in good working order) this Turbo R is a must have collectors item perfectly useable for sporty-comfortable weekend drives, but also as a fine reliable daily driver. No rust. Repainted in Blue in 2005. Dutch MOT (APK) on this car is valid till April 2019.
