Steering box overhaul

What we do
Over the years, Rolls-Royce and Bentley used various steering box structures. BRABO overhauls them all.

Silver Cloud / S I, II & III Steering Box (1955-1965)
The locktab of the steering column has a precise fit. Knowing how to dismantle and assemble is very important. We have all original sizes of rings in stock for locktab adjustments. We have access to a wide range of used parts, which is good news, as many of these parts are no longer manufactured for sale.
After overhaul, we extensively test the steering box on our custom made test bench for operation and check for any leaks. We tackle all clearances so after mounting you will drive a tightly steering car again.

Special tools are needed to mount the new nylon rings in the locktab and to obtain the correct pre-tension. If the repair or overhaul is not carried out properly, ball bearings can get into the rack, resulting in a blocked steering wheel. So fellow engineer, think again before you start and in any case, read the workshop manual carefully. Or leave it to BRABO.
BRABO has custom equipment to ensure the locktab and steering box is meticulously assembled.
